Removing WI-FI log-in data from Sylvania 7 tablet

The wi-fi on my new Sylvania 7 tablet worked first day, stopped at second, started again and today will not reconnect. Since this appears to be a problem of this tablet, I want to return it; however, I have deleted everything but cannot remove the username and password from the Wi-fi. Using all the different removing tools have worked for everything else, emails, etc. but the wi-fi still has my connection name and p/w.
