Help installing Eclair on a NextBook 2

I have been trying to install Eclair onto my nextbook 2, but have not been able to figure it out. I have the .img file for it but can't get it to run. Any ideas??

My Nextbook 2 came with Eclair 2.0.4 Is this normal?

I assumed these came with earlier versions of Android. Is it possible someone bought it and upgraded it previously, then returned it? Or did Nextbook put out newer versions?
