uboot build issue

I was working my way through the uboot wiki and I got stuck on step 5 (Compile). I get the error message
"make: arm-linux-gcc: Command not found"

however, when i send
"arm-linux-gcc -v"

i get a good response, so my tool chain should be set-up correctly.

i am running ubuntu 10.04

thanks
